Amber Watson Reid - Head Coach
Coach Reid enters her second year as the Head Softball Coach at Surry. She comes to Surry from the public schools where she coached for four years.

Before her coaching days, Reid had success at East Surry High School with the school's first state championship in fastpitch softball, All-Conference, Player of the Year and MVP honors.

After high school, she went on to play collegiately at the Unviersity of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she attained several honors sch as Pitcher and Player of the Week, First Team All Conference Pitcher as a senior, and still holds the record for pitching the only perfect game in school history.

Reid received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her M.A. from East Carolina Unviersity.

Shawn Watson - Student Assistant Coach
Shawn Watson enters her first year as the assistant for the Lady Knights. Watson completed one year on the Surry roster as a pitcher and utility player.

Prior to coming to Surry, she attended East Surry High School where she played softball all four years, attained two state titles, All-Conference and All-Tournament Honors.

Currently, she attends Surry full-time, was chosen as an Ambassador for Surry Community College and holds Dean's List Honors for each semester attended.
