Amber Watson Reid - Head Coach
Coach Reid enters her second year as the Head Softball Coach at Surry. In the first year of the program under Reid's leadership the Lady Knights finished 13 and 18 as well as had one player named First Team All Region and another on the Second Team, with both of those girls being named All Tournament. A seventh place finish in the regular season and a fourth place finished in the region tournament, Reid hopes build off of the successes in the first seaon and improve in 2010.

Before her coaching days, Reid had success at East Surry High School with the school's first state championship in fastpitch softball, All-Conference, Player of the Year and MVP honors.

After high school, she went on to play collegiately at the Unviersity of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she attained several honors such as Pitcher and Player of the Week, First Team All Conference Pitcher as a senior, and still holds the record for pitching the only perfect game in school history.

Reid received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her M.A. from East Carolina Unviersity.
