Coach Reid enters her third year as the Head Softball Coach at Surry and a total 35-38 record with the Knights. In the 2010 season the Lady Knights finished 22 and 20 with a regular season fourth place finish and another fourth place finish in the Region X Conference Tournament. In the programs two year existence, the Knights have posted three First Team All Region selections, two Second Team All Region selections, two All Tournament and three honorable mention as well as graduated one to continue playing at Mars Hill.

Before her coaching days, Reid had success at East Surry High School with the school's first state championship in fastpitch softball, All-Conference, Player of the Year and MVP honors.

After high school, she went on to play collegiately at the Unviersity of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she attained several honors such as Pitcher and Player of the Week, First Team All Conference Pitcher as a senior, as well as pitching a perfect game against Ohio State University.

Reid received her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Exercise and Sport Science: Physical Education and her M.A. from East Carolina Unviersity in Health Education and Promotion.
