Three Surry volleyball players were selected to the All-Region volleyball squad. Cassie Durham, Megan Stanley, and Mallorie Vogler were named All-Region in a vote conducted by Region X volleyball coaches. Stanley was also named Runner-Up in Region X Player of the Year voting to Catawba Valley’s Fran Edgerton.

“I am extremely proud of these young ladies for being recognized for their performance on the court,” stated Surry coach Jan Marion-Kiser. “Each worked very hard during the season, and were outstanding leaders for our team.”

Durham led Region X and finished the season ranked 16th in the nation with 1.48 blocks per set. Stanley led Region X in hitting efficiency and ranked 15th nationally at 40 %. Stanley also led Region X and ranked 15th nationally in kills per set with 3.45. Vogler finished 33rd nationally with an average of 0.67 services per set.

Surry finished with an overall record of 20-6 and Region X Tournament Runners-Up.
